Unique moments unfold in one of the holiest places on earth, the town of Liska, where heartfelt prayers offered at the grave of the revered tzadik, Rebbe Hershele Lisker zt"l, echo with blessings.

In the sacred town of Liska, renowned as one of the holiest places in the world, the profound prayers recited at the tomb of the esteemed tzadik, Rebbe Hershele Lisker zt"l, resonate with deep significance.

Through this prayer, we plead for healing for those who are unwell, financial support for the poor, and peace and wellness for Israel and all of humankind. Liska has historically been an important place in Jewish life, especially because it was where the Liska Rebbe established a remarkable synagogue, which was one of the largest in Europe then. The spirit of the town and its tzadik endures brightly in Jewish communities, with many visiting to ask for blessings in accordance with the Kivrei Tzadikim tradition.

Rebbe Hershele Lisker (רבי הערשעלע ליסקער), also known as Zvi Hirsh Friedmann (צבי הירש פרידמאן) and the esteemed author of Ach Pri Tevu'ah (אך פרי תבואה), was one of the prominent Hasidic leaders whose teachings still resonate with his followers today. The Rebbe studied under the famous Teitelbaum Moshe zt"l (משה טייטלבוים זצ״ל), also referred to as the Yismach Moshe (ישמח משה), from whom he learned valuable Torah knowledge and Hasidic wisdom. In Hasidic communities, particularly among Satmar followers, the close disciple relationship remains significant, honoring the legacies of both Teitelbaum and Rebbe Hershele Lisker.

Hasidic communities worldwide, from Borough Park and Williamsburg to various regions in Israel, deeply respect the town of Liska and honor the legacy of the Liska Rebbe. The Liska cemetery is an important site within the Kivrei Tzadikim tradition, where the merit of the tzadik imbues prayers with remarkable strength. On the anniversary of the Rebbe's passing, the yahrzeit (יארצייט), thousands of people make a pilgrimage here to pray and seek blessings for their families and communities.

The spiritual legacy of the Liska Rebbe, embodied in works such as Ach Pri Tevu'ah (אך פרי תבואה) and Hayoshor veHatov (הישר והטוב), continues to inspire and guide Jewish communities globally. This holy land of Liska, known for its history of miracles and blessings, is also a vibrant site where fervent prayers are listened to, granting blessings to those who come in search.
